Life and Death

Today I went to the hospital to see a women who has been like a second mother to me. I had last seen her a week and two days ago. She wasn't feeling well but she was her regular self. She'd eat and laugh with me and her daughters or yell at us because we are grown adults acting like children. Then suddenly I hear she's been in the hospital just days later.

Seeing her on the bed was heart wrenching. I did not cry but my mother and sister did. Mama Anna is 4'11 she's really tiny and the bed is longer then she is. They have forced her into a coma it looks like. I don't know much about what's going except that she has had hernias and they were the cause of her intestines needing to be cut out. We all knew she needed these things removed. There were a total of 15 hernia's causing blockage. They removed them and if she gets better she will be back into surgery Sunday to sew her up. For now they have her open and something is holding her insides together.

If you are sick please go to the hospital even if you have no insurance. Things will get better its just a question of when? How much more will you endure because having no insurance is in the way of you walking through a hospital door? You are loved by others and if a hospital is being difficult towards you because of insurance and having no money is involved. Report then and move on to another. Life vs insurance...life wins out.

Take care of your body.
